i shouldn’ ’t be an artist

A 52 page zine of experimental typography collecting diary entries from 2019-2021. I engage in a design philosophy that is actively hostile towards the viewer with the layout, spacing, orientation, and weight dictated by emotional intent rather than legibility. These diary entries reflect on pursing art as a professional career, imposter syndrome, guilt, ocd, and dropping out of college. The last 11 pages interrogate my current outlook on my artistic career and how some aspects of those feelings have persisted or morphed.
